Leading During Challenging and Changing TimesCourse DescriptionThis award-winning course was specifically developed to address the critical and immediate psychological and emotional needs of workers in highly volatile, rapidly changing work environments. For example, by the end of August 2008, Ford Motor Company will have cut approximately 20% of its salaried work force. By 2012, it will close 16 plants impacting over 1,100 people. To add further anxiety to an already stressed workforce, foreclosure rates in Michigan have never been higher. Even more sadly, recent Gallop poll survey results revealed that 83% of respondees felt completely “disengaged” at work. These may sound like negative statistics, but nothing could be further from the truth. They also describe a powerful opportunity – an opportunity to strengthen our leadership skills by developing a powerful mindset to skillfully and courageously deal head-on with the inevitable stress that change and loss brings and as a result, emerge stronger and than ever.
